Instacom is searching for a Channel Development Lead that will be responsible for designing, executing, and continuously optimising the company’s channel strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and partner success. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, sales leadership, and partner enablement, ensuring that every channel partner is aligned, supported, and performing at their full potential.
This position is located in Gauteng and is a Permanent employment offer.
BASIC DUTIES
  • Develop and own the end-to-end channel strategy aligned to overall business and sales objectives.
  • Identify priority channels, partner segments, and growth opportunities across markets.
  • Translate strategic goals into clear channel plans, targets, and execution roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key channel partners and distributors.
  • Act as the primary strategic point of contact for top-tier partners.
  • Drive joint business planning, performance reviews, and long-term partnership alignment.
  • Drive channel-led revenue growth through clear targets, incentives, and performance tracking.
  • Monitor channel pipeline health, and partner contribution.
  • Identify underperformance early and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure partners are equipped with the right tools, training, messaging, and support to succeed.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver effective channel enablement programmes.
  • Champion best practices, sales effectiveness, and consistent customer experience across channels.
  • Work closely with internal sales leadership, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align channel execution.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to prioritise and support channel initiatives.
  • Act as the voice of the channel internally, providing market and partner insights.
  • Define and maintain clear channel governance, roles, and rules of engagement.
  • Continuously evaluate channel effectiveness and adapt strategy based on performance and market changes.
  • Manage channel risks, conflicts, and compliance requirements.
MINIMUM SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • · Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and holistic solution selling.
  • · Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
  • · Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven decision making and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • 4–7 years in Business to Business, channel sales, or partner development.
  • Proven ability to convert bespoke client requirements into repeatable product/configuration packs.
  • Comfortable creating partner propositions and enablement assets.
  • Strong stakeholder management, works closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Sales, and Marketing.
  • CRM discipline experience owning pipeline in Zoho / Acumatica or similar.
  • Technical fluency to liaise with product teams about integrations, device configuration, and deployment constraints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident presenting to internal leadership and external partners.
