We are looking for a IT Technician to join the Instacom team! (The incumbent is primarily responsible for internal end-user support and additionally will be monitoring, supporting and maintaining systems, services, hardware and software used by Instacom. ) This position is located in (Centurion) and is a (Full-time office-based)
Provide technical support and remote assistance to end-users, both on-site and remotely.
Provide orientation and guidance to on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
Maintain Instacom’s ICT infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations by following IT policies, procedures and, and best practices.
Administer asset inventory and asset register.
Perform system maintenance: Regular backups, patch management, and software updates to maintain system integrity and security.
Resolve any system failures and troubleshoot issues.
Upgrade, manage and maintain hardware and software.
Install, configure, and maintain local networks.
Systems monitoring to ensure all systems run optimally and securely.
Maintain ICT related documentation: Create and keep records of user manuals, guides, and technical documentation.
Diagnosing and resolve escalated internal/external ICT issues.
Continuously expand your knowledge and stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices in the ICT field.
MINIMUM SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills: ICT related qualification (A+, N+, etc.)
Technical Skills: Microsoft Windows & Windows Server
Technical Skills: Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace
Technical Skills: Familiarity with other operating systems such as Linux, MacOS, Android and iOS
Technical Skills: l Network setup and troubleshooting
